A 23-year-old woman was allegedly groped by a Hungarian man during take-off on a Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Auckland. The man, who was sitting next to his adult daughter, placed his hand on the victim’s knee, stroking her thigh multiple times, grabbed her hands and kissed them, and touched her shoulders. The woman was only able to alert the crew when she was allowed to get out of her seat when the seat belt signs were turned off; they moved her to another seat. The police spoke to the man upon landing and he admitted to the assault and was given a warning.
