A Chinese woman known by her surname, Na, claimed to airline staff that there was a bomb on a flight to Nanjing because she had accidentally bought a ticket for the wrong day and wanted to delay it to give airline staff time to secure her a seat. The flight was delayed for over two hours but Na was arrested and so wasn’t on it when it eventually took off. She was sentenced to five days’ police detention.
