A Peruvian military helicopter was targeted and seriously damaged mid-flight by leftist rebel ‘narco-terrorists’ using low-calibre anti-aircraft artillery. The helicopter was assisting the Nueva Libertad military base, which was under siege. Six soldiers were wounded.
