Colonel Alassana Diallo, the head of Guinea-Bissau’s migration agency, was arrested in connection with a cocaine smuggling operation. 83 capsules of the drug had been seized at Bissau Airport and the dealer arrested. However, several national guard officers, allegedly under the direction of Diallo, subsequently stormed the police station, freed the dealer from his cell and seized the cocaine.
