It was reported that on 13 July, Ellie Holman, 44, a British national, was detained along with her four-year-old daughter after arriving in Dubai on an Emirates flight from London. Holman claimed she was imprisoned for three days because she had consumed a glass of alcohol during the flight, but Dubai officials say it was because she became abusive towards security personnel and filmed them without their permission.
