Three SEF border officers were accused of beating a 40-year-old Ukrainian man to death at Lisbon Airport. The man had arrived in Lisbon from Turkey on 10 March. He was denied entry, and, after an altercation with border staff, he suffered an epileptic fit and was rushed to hospital. Two days later he returned to board a flight to Turkey when three border officers took him to a room without CCTV. He then died. He was found with his hands cuffed behind his back, and autopsy results showed that he had fractured ribs, which resulted in him suffocating to death.
