13 FEBRUARY 2019: PORTLAND, OREGON

Douglas B. Smyser, 21, who had taken methamphetamine before boarding a Compass Airlines flight from Seattle to Los Angeles began to behave disorderly by throwing his backpack, which started vibrating because of an electronic shaver, and pacing up and down the aisle. He walked towards the cockpit door, claiming that someone in the back of the plane had a gun. Another passenger restrained Smyser and the aircraft diverted to Portland. Smyser later told Police he had taken the drug because he was heading to rehab once he landed.
