Reports emerged that an airport officer was sentenced for attempting to rape a passenger at Kuwait International Airport after he brought her to an investigation room, locked the door and groped her. The victim’s screams for help alerted other security staff, who entered the room and pulled the officer off the victim. He was jailed for seven years and ordered to pay KD 5,001 (c. £12,800) in compensation to the victim.
