A group of Chinese tourists travelled from Xi’an wearing politically sensitive T-shirts bearing a controversial map of China that features the much-disputed South China Sea ‘nine dash line’. The group was told to hand the T-shirts over to Vietnamese police before leaving the airport. They claimed they hadn’t realised the T-shirts were offensive.
