CCTV footage was released by the Italian police of a man stealing over $9000 (c. £7,100) in cash from another passenger at Fiumicino Airport. The footage showed that the theft took place during X-ray screening. The passenger placed his money, which was in two envelopes, in a tub on the conveyer belt to be screened. The passenger was held up as he himself went through the archway metal detector, and the thief, who was ahead of him, stole the money as he collected his belongings on the other side. The man was later arrested and the money was returned to passenger.
