David Adamson, 46, was found guilty of sending a text message with a bomb emoji to Ruth Adamson, 27, who was due to fly to Vietnam. A travel agent wrongly mailed Ruth Adamson’s flight itinerary to David’s house. David sent her angry and threatening messages, because he assumed it was his mother’s number on the itinerary. His mother shared the same name as Ruth and had left him without notice in 2014. He received a suspended six-week prison sentence on an 18-month good behaviour bond.
