A 32-year-old Chinese American man known as Wan threw his Canadian Taiwanese wife, Chang, off the fourth-floor staircase of Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport following a domestic argument. Wan then jumped from the staircase onto Chang and they were both caught by a safety net. Chang suffered serious injuries from the fall and her husband falling on her and was taken to an intensive care unit. Wang was charged attempted murder.
