A 32-year-old woman with a history of drink-driving accessed the runways at Teterboro Airport in her car by following an authorised vehicle as it passed through an open security gate. After driving across two runways, the woman fled the airport on foot, seriously cutting her hands on barbed wire as she climbed over the perimeter fence. She was later arrested in her home.
