Herminia Bedinelli, a 65-year-old security assistant at Son Sant Joan De Palma Airport, passed away from heart complications after undergoing surgery to treat a broken leg. Bedinelli’s leg broke when she attempted to stop a German tourist from re-entering the arrivals hall, after he left the hall to smoke a cigarette. The tourist pushed past Bedinelli, to return to his family and collect their luggage, which caused her to fall to the ground and damage her hip and femur.
