Reports emerged that seven senior Emirates cabin crew members and another man were accused of plotting an attack in Dubai. The seven crew members are of Lebanese origin and have lived and worked in Dubai for over fifteen years. They are accused of working for Hezbollah and having used their position to get confidential information about the UAE’s airports. However, Human Rights Watch claim that the men have been held without charge for a year without access to family or their lawyers, have been forced to sign statements, and have been abused psychologically and physically by Emirati authorities.
