Yossi and Jennie Adler, claimed to have been kicked off an American Airlines flight bound for Detroit due to religious discrimination. The couple, who are Jewish, were travelling with their 19-month-old daughter. They alleged that the flight attendants claimed that passengers had complained about the family’s body odour. The family disputed this, stating that they showered every day. The airline stated the family were rebooked for a flight the next day and given accommodation and meal vouchers.
