Around 100 Uber drivers protested outside Cape Town International, claiming metered taxi drivers had used violence and intimidation tactics to prevent them from picking up passengers at the terminal. They also claimed the city council unfairly supports metered taxi drivers by delaying the issuance of taxi permits to Uber drivers.
