Francisco Marín Aguilar, the head of HR at Codelco’s Gabriela Mistral mine, was arrested for allegedly shouting and joking about a bomb at Calama Airport. On the same day, two bomb packages were found in Chile. One was detonated at a police station in Santiago – injuring five police officers – and another was discovered at the headquarters of Quinenco SA. Aguilar was fired from his role.
