Daniel Devereux, 30, a hacker with the moniker ‘His Royal Gingerness’, pleaded guilty to cyber attacks on Norwich International Airport and Norwich University Hospital in September 2015. His defence lawyer claimed that Devereux was known as a ‘white hat hacker’, whose attacks are not intended to be malicious but to demonstrate weaknesses in cyber security. Devereux is already serving another prison sentence for an unrelated crime.
