Six additional charges were brought against seven former El Al security personnel, Avi Peretz, David Dadon, Yaniv Hazan, Lidan Shatui, Asher Mesilti, Yaakov Felician and Rami Yogev, who are accused of smuggling 150kg of cocaine into Israel through Ben Gurion International Airport. The charges included a conspiracy to commit a crime and importing a dangerous drug. Allegedly, the drugs were transported in luggage on flights from South Africa and the men used their credentials to enable the luggage to bypass security checks. The men were arrested in November 2018.
