Reports emerged that Airbus had been targeted by multiple cyber-attacks – four in the past year. The attacks, which reportedly were made by Chinese hackers, were looking to target Airbus through its suppliers such as Rolls-Royce. It is alleged that documents relating to the certification process of Airbus Aircraft, the engine on a military transport plane A400M, the avionics and propulsion systems for the A350 passenger jet were of interest to the hackers.
