27 FEBRUARY 2019: HONOLULU, HAWAII

A Hawaiian Airlines flight to Incheon Airport was forced to return to Honolulu after a disruptive passenger attempted to punch a flight attendant. The passenger had arrived in Honolulu the day before, but was denied entry to the US due to his criminal record. He was held overnight and placed on the flight, but had been allowed to purchase duty free alcohol prior to boarding which he drank, unnoticed, during a period of turbulence. He became intoxicated and then violent, before being restrained by the crew, assisted by four military personnel.
