Richard Nolan, a security officer employed by Avsec from 2016 until March this year, won his case of unfair dismissal by the company. Two female colleagues took a nude photo on his unattended private iPad, which Nolan discovered. The women responsible for the photo apologised to Nolan but the relationship between the colleagues did not recover, which led to Nolan being dismissed for “a severe and irresolvable incompatibility” with his female colleague. He was awarded $14,000 (c. £7,150) in compensation and $6321.56 (c. £3,230) in costs by the Employment Relations Authority.
