Taxi drivers of the Hadar Lod taxi firm blocked the access road to Ben Gurion in protest of a contract between the company, another taxi service, Gett, and the Israel Airports Authority that requires drivers to reduce fares to the airport by 31%. They claimed IAA threatened stakeholders of Hadar with litigation if they voted against the contract. The protest was deemed a success after Hadar pulled out of the contract, allowing drivers to continue charging passengers the same fares from the airport.
