A 34-year-old man from Kuwait and a 48-year-old man from Italy allegedly caused a Ryanair flight from Vienna to London Stansted Airport to make an emergency landing after two suspicious items were found in the aircraft’s bathroom. The flight was escorted by RAF typhoon jets. The men were arrested on suspicion of terrorism. The device was later deemed harmless and the men were released.
