Aino Pennanen, the legislative secretary of Finland’s Greens party, refused to take her seat on a Finnair flight to Berlin when she found out that one of her fellow passengers was being deported. Pennanen was removed from the flight but later defended her actions by drawing attention to flaws in the country’s deportation procedures.
