Reports emerged that five people connected to a gang were arrested for allegedly stealing commuters’ luggage at Fiumicino Airport. It is alleged that the suspects stole luggage worth over €50,000 (c. £43,200). Seven other people related to the gang are under investigation for theft at the airport, Roma Termini station and rental car parks. The thieves were suspected to be residents of France and Spain.
