A 23-year-old medical student known as Wang threw coins towards the engine of her Sichuan Airlines flight that had just landed at Qingshan Airport from Nanchang. She claimed that she was doing it to cure her nephew’s diarrhoea and did not know it was illegal. She was fined 200 yuan (c. £23).
