A false bomb threat was made to Penang International Airport. A 38-year-old man, his 38-year-old girlfriend and the man’s 22-year-old friend were arrested on 30 August. Allegedly the man asked his friend to make the call to stop his girlfriend leaving for Medan and the friend used a phone registered in the girlfriend’s name to make the call.
