Carlos Victor Passapera Pinott, 53, a border patrol agent, was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking. Pinott drove to a remote area of Lukeville Port of Entry, he then drove to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport where he placed two duffel bags into another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was stopped and searched by the police. The duffel bags contained 21kg of cocaine, 1kg of heroin, 1kg of fentanyl and around 350,000 pills containing fentanyl. Upon searching Pinott’s home, police found $329,000 (c. £250,000) and $40,000 (c. £30,000) in his vehicle.
