Apstec Systems® announced that its Human Security Radar® (HSR™), was selected for deployment at Brussels South Charleroi Airport. The HSR is the first fully automatic real-time mass people screening solution and will be used on the landside of the airport – at the terminal entrances – where traditional checkpoint security cannot be used due to the creations of queues and bottlenecks.
HSR is a fully automatic walkthrough system that combines high throughput, speed and accuracy to deliver a solution for mass people screening. It uses centimetre wave and other technologies combined with algorithms, artificial intelligence and machine learning to discriminate explosives and weapons from benign materials.
