Home security specialist, ERA, has launched Lockdown, the UK’s first emergency barricade device, designed to provide barricading security in the event of a threatening situation.
Sold for use in airport environments, where there is a high footfall of passengers of all ages and the threat of attack is high, Lockdown is straightforward and easy to fit (no need for keys or padlocks and is lightweight) making doors inaccessible to intruders and creating a safe hiding place for civilians in the event of an attack. Barricading oneself in from a threat is the advice that is increasingly being given by government and associated bodies. Lockdown is available for both single and double doors, whether inward or outward swinging and fitted with or without traditional locks.
