Johnny McMenamin, 36, was threatened with legal action after refusing to pay £5.50 for a packet of crisps and a bottle of water for his five-year-old daughter during a Ryanair flight to East Midlands, UK, that was delayed by over four and a half hours. McMenamin had missed an opportunity to claim refreshment vouchers in the departure lounge prior to boarding but eventually paid the money after the captain made an announcement that a passenger was “stealing” from the bar.
