Prabhu Ramamoorthy, 35, was sentenced to nine years in jail for sexually assaulting a female passenger on a Spirit Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Detroit in January 2018. Ramamoorthy had been seated between his wife and the female passenger, and began to sexually assault the passenger whilst she was asleep. The victim awoke to find that Ramamoorthy had unzipped and unbuttoned her pants. Ramamoorthy, an Indian national, will be deported back to India after serving his sentence.
