Moldova’s Agency for the Recovery of Criminal Property and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office seized approximately MDL 670 million lei (c. £29,500,000) of Air Moldova’s capital (two aircrafts, buildings and several road vehicles) in a money laundering investigation related to the privatisation of the airline in October 2018. It is reported that false transactions were made before the privatisation. Air Moldova was sold to Blue Air and two Moldovan citizens.
